Poker Tracker Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Poker Tracker ("we," "our," or "us"). This app is a poker income tracking tool that allows users to record and manage their personal data. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your information.

2. Information We Collect

a. User-Generated Content

The app allows you to input and store data, including:

  • Financial entries (e.g., poker winnings/losses)
  • Notes or free-form text

This data is stored locally on your device. If you turn on iCloud Sync, it is also stored in your personal iCloud account and kept in sync across your Apple devices through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). It is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

b. Automatically Collected Information

To understand how the app is used and to diagnose crashes and bugs, we use Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics). These tools automatically collect limited, anonymous technical information, including:

  • Device and app information (such as device model, operating system version, and app version)
  • Anonymous identifiers used to group analytics and crash reports (such as a per-installation Firebase instance ID and your device's vendor identifier, or IDFV)
  • App usage and interaction events (for example, that a session was logged or a screen was viewed)
  • Crash logs and diagnostic information

This information is not linked to your identity and is never used to track you across other apps or services. We have specifically configured Analytics to disable advertising identifier (IDFA) collection. We never collect your name, email address, the contents of your notes, or any of your poker amounts or financial figures.

Apple may also collect certain information (such as device details or crash reports) as part of its App Store services. That data is handled by Apple in accordance with its own privacy policies.

c. In-App Purchases

If you purchase a subscription or upgrade, payment processing is handled by Apple via the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

  • Provide app functionality
  • Store and display your data on your device and, if enabled, sync it across your Apple devices via iCloud
  • Understand, in aggregate, how the app is used so we can improve features
  • Diagnose crashes and improve app performance and stability

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or services.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your poker data (entries and notes) is stored locally on your device. If you turn on iCloud Sync, this data is also stored in your personal iCloud account and synced across your Apple devices through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). That data resides in your private iCloud and is not accessible to us. We do not operate servers that store your personal or financial data.

The limited, anonymous usage and diagnostic data described in Section 2(b) is processed by Google Firebase on Google's servers to provide us with analytics and crash reporting. You are responsible for safeguarding your device and backups.

5. Sharing of Information

We never sell, rent, or trade your data, and we never share your poker entries, notes, or financial figures with anyone. We do not have access to that data.

The only information shared with a third party is the anonymous usage and diagnostic data described in Section 2(b), which is processed by Google as our analytics and crash-reporting provider in accordance with its own privacy policy. This data does not identify you and is never sold.

6. Data Retention

Your poker data is stored on your device (and, if enabled, in your iCloud account) and remains until:

  • You delete it,
  • You turn off iCloud Sync and remove the iCloud copy, or
  • You uninstall the app

We do not retain copies of your poker data. Anonymous analytics and crash data is retained by Google Firebase in accordance with its standard retention periods.

7. Your Rights

Because your poker data lives on your device and in your own iCloud account:

  • We cannot access, modify, or delete it remotely
  • You can manage or delete it within the app, by turning off iCloud Sync, or by removing the app

The analytics and diagnostic data described in Section 2(b) is anonymous and is not tied to your identity, so it cannot be used to identify or contact you.

8. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13 and is designed for use by individuals of legal age to participate in gambling activities in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
